🚗 Travel Advisory

If possible, please avoid the area during the closure period (8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) to help reduce traffic congestion.

If travel through the area is unavoidable, please allow additional travel time and follow the detour route below:

🔄 Detour Route

• At the stop sign at Eugene O'Neill Drive and Masonic Street, motorists may turn right onto Masonic Street

• Follow the posted detour signs to State Street to bypass the closure

Please obey all posted signage and follow the directions of traffic control personnel on scene.

We are excited to welcome everyone during the CT Maritime Heritage Festival this weekend! Station New London will be open for boat tours from 10am-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Important notes for visitors:

- Entry will only be from the south gate next to the Fort Trumball pier (see picture). It is a short walk from the Fort Trumball parking lot or the water taxi.
- All visitors must possess a Real I.D. compliant I.D. for access to Station New London. Those without Real I.D. will be denied entry.
-All bags are subject to search. No pets are allowed on board.

The Kalmar Nyckel, the Tall Ship of Delaware, is sailing into New London City Pier for a special weekend of public sails August 14–16!
Experience sailing aboard a full-scale replica of a 17th-century square-rigged ship. During 2½-hour adventure, you can:
Help raise the sails and haul lines
Learn traditional sailing skills from the volunteer crew
Discover maritime history firsthand
Or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy views of Long Island Sound and our historic lighthouses.
No two voyages are ever the same! Since the ship sails with the wind, every trip offers a unique experience on the water.
