Step Aboard History!
The Kalmar Nyckel, the Tall Ship of Delaware, is sailing into New London City Pier for a special weekend of public sails August 14–16!
Experience sailing aboard a full-scale replica of a 17th-century square-rigged ship. During 2½-hour adventure, you can:
Help raise the sails and haul lines
Learn traditional sailing skills from the volunteer crew
Discover maritime history firsthand
Or simply sit back, relax, and enjoy views of Long Island Sound and our historic lighthouses.
No two voyages are ever the same! Since the ship sails with the wind, every trip offers a unique experience on the water.

Coast Guard City New London invites residents, friends, and supporters from across the region to join us in welcoming the U.S. Coast Guard Barque EAGLE home from her Sail250 voyage.

Over the past several months, EAGLE and her crew have represented the United States Coast Guard with pride, receiving enthusiastic welcomes and drawing thousands of visitors at ports throughout the celebration. Now, after an unforgettable journey, it's our turn to show our appreciation and give America's Tall Ship the homecoming she deserves.

Join us at Fort Trumbull State Park on Thursday, August 13, at 11:00 a.m. as we gather on the waterfront to welcome EAGLE back to her home port, celebrate her crew's accomplishments, and demonstrate why New London is proudly known as Coast Guard City.

Bring your family, friends, and community spirit, and help us give EAGLE a memorable welcome home.
