🎀 Throwback Thursday 🎀

We’re rolling back to 2017, when J&R Schugel unveiled our very first Breast Cancer Awareness wrapped truck. 🚛💖
That truck marked the start of our ongoing journey to raise awareness, support survivors, and drive hope alongside amazing partners like B the Light.

This throwback is also a reminder that early detection saves lives:

✅ Know your body and speak up about any changes.
✅ Encourage a loved one to get checked today.

🚛 TIRES!

Inflation: All truck tires should be checked daily with a tire pressure gauge. Thumping the tires does not tell you if a tire is properly inflated.
🔹 Drives: 105
🔹 Steers: 100
Tread Depth: Minimum tread depth for CMV is 4/32’s on steers, 2/32’s on all others
Wear: Check for even wear. If one side is worn more than the other you may need an alignment.

Damage: Look for cuts, cracks, bulges on the tread and sidewall, exposed cords/belts, separation between tread and carcass or sidewall delamination.

Hub Seal: Check the hub oil sight glass on steer tires to ensure the fluid is at the proper level. Ensure the hub cap and axle seal are secured tightly. Look for any oil smeared on the inside of the rim, which indicates a leaking seal.

Valve Stem: Make sure it’s straight, has a cap to keep dirt out, no leaks
Lug Nuts: Check every lug on every tire. All are present and tight. Rust indicates a loose lug nut.

Debris: Rocks/ect between tread blocks.

Rims: Inspect the inside and outside of the rim, noting any sign of damage to the rim. Also a good time to check the Hub Seal.

Duals: Make sure the appropriate gap is there between the two tires.

Need a tire gauge? Gauges are available for purchase ($15) at our MN, OH, and GA terminals. Ask the shop team or stop by the store in the MN terminal.
