Day 10 of our YTM Ancient & Beyond series. Heading from Istanbul to NYC in style.

TK business class is on a whole other level. We took advantage of the Turkish Airlines Gate 5 private entrance and checked out the massive business lounge, which is basically a food lover's paradise complete with private chefs.
After sampling a bit of everything, it was time to board our 10-hour flight.

Reclining into a lie-flat bed with five-star service at 30,000 feet—meaning our sleep schedule was totally sacrificed, as our time was occupied trying to experience every luxury they had to offer.

Day 9 of our YTM Ancient & Beyond series. It was officially shopping day at the historic bazaars, and let’s just say for Lili, every day is a shopping day. We bought so much that an extra suitcase quickly became an absolute necessity.

After a full day of shopping and a full suitcase, we needed a drink, so we headed straight up to the hotel rooftop. That plan ended quickly when they handed us a ridiculous, overpriced w**e pour. We immediately walked right back down to the street for a three-dollar local fish wrap instead—which was delicious and much more our speed.

Next stop: Turkish Airlines business class.
