💚 And just like that, we wrapped up our first Roam Collective: Study Abroad meets Summer Camp for Families in San Sebastián.

A summer of instant connections, navigating the unknown, learning by doing, and making a lot of memories along the way. And, of course, plenty of logistics, problem-solving and last-minute changes happening quietly in the background. 😉

🌍 Some journeys stay with you long after you return home.

A few days ago, I had the chance to talk with Alicia Del Castillo from El Diario Vasco about travel, life abroad, solo adventures and some of the destinations that have shaped the way I see the world.

From the roads of Ethiopia to the vibrant street life of Pakistan, travel has given me far more than passport stamps. It has challenged my assumptions, broadened my perspective and introduced me to people, cultures and places I will never forget.

🌴 Our Costa del Sol photo dump

☀️ It was such a pleasure to enjoy the sunny province of Málaga while staying at — the perfect spot for the whole family to relax, slow down and explore everything this beautiful region has to offer.

🤍 From glamorous seaside destinations like Marbella, Sotogrande or Málaga, to the peaceful whitewashed villages of Istán, Ojén or Monda, the Costa del Sol truly has it all.

✈️ I’m already looking forward to being back in November, when we’ll be staying at — and planning a day trip to 🇲🇦 Tangier, which has been on my list for a while!

🐴🏙️ From horse-drawn buggies to city skylines — Pennsylvania offers more variety than you might expect.

When I lived in Washington DC, I had the chance to explore different parts of Pennsylvania — from Amish Country in Lancaster, where I learned about local traditions 🚜🌾, to outdoor adventures skiing at Liberty Mountain 🎿❄️, and finishing with time in 🏛️ Philadelphia, one of the most historic cities in the U.S.

It’s the kind of destination where you can slow down in the countryside one day and explore a lively city the next.
