Airbnb didn’t invent hotels. They turned the room into an asset anyone could share. A whole new network was born.

🚗 Uber didn’t invent taxis. They turned the car into an asset anyone could share. That created a new network.

🌐 Helium didn’t invent towers. They turned connectivity into something anyone could share. A new network emerged.

Now it is time for mobility.

Timo is not another Uber copy. We are reframing existing infrastructure such as hotels, airports, and communities as mobility nodes where riders and drivers connect directly.

Here is what that means:

Drivers keep 80% of fares, not 50%.

Hotels, airports, and communities host nodes and earn from rides at 3% of fares.

Rides work even in low signal zones, solving a uniquely African pain point.

Passengers get personalized journeys, from the driver they choose to the music that greets them when they step in.

This is not just ride hailing.

It is a peer to peer mobility network built for Africa, by Africa. 🌍

Last Friday I had the honor of pitching this vision at Google HQ during Angel Fair Africa (AFA@12) in New York

Huge thank you to Eric Osiakwan, Tinyiko Valoyi, Winnie Kimathi, Jason Scott and the entire AFA team for creating such a powerful platform for founders.

And gratitude as well to Jeff Lindor, Co-founder and CEO of Gentlemen's Factory, and the GF team for not only hosting us on Thursday’s bootcamp but also for the mixer the following night. 🙏🏾

Special shoutout to Cassandre Davilmar and Lakou Cafe for catering the mixer with Haitian patties and plantains. I was born in Haiti so seeing everyone enjoy my people’s food after a long day of pitching made me smile. Nothing like a taste of home to close out the night. 🇭🇹✨

I even tried to kick things off with a skit. I pulled out my phone, tapped like I had just landed in Joburg, sighed, and said: “No drivers available…” That is the reality too many face today. Nobody got the joke 😅 but they got the point.

I will admit I was a little disappointed there were not many questions after my pitch. Maybe some thought this was just another Uber. The truth is that it is much bigger.
