The right pushchair makes travelling easier! ✈️ 🌍

We are currently on the hunt for a travel stroller, so we’ve been looking into the features that can make travelling with a baby easier.

We currently use the Silver Cross Cove in Maple - LOVE🤎

Here are 7 things worth considering:

1. Compact fold
Whether you’re hopping on a train, taking a taxi or staying in a small hotel room, a compact fold makes storage much easier. Look for a one-piece fold that doesn’t require removing the seat.

2. Weight
Not every train station has a lift, and getting on and off public transport can involve some heavy lifting. Choose a pushchair you can comfortably lift, especially when travelling with luggage.

3. Wheels & shock absorption
Those beautiful European cobbled streets aren’t always pushchair-friendly! Larger wheels and good suspension help absorb bumps, making exploring uneven streets and countryside paths much smoother.

4. Storage space
Between nappies, bottles, spare clothes, snacks and everything you pick up while sightseeing, your basket quickly becomes your second suitcase. Look for generous storage with easy access and a good weight capacity.

5. Recline
Your baby’s nap schedule doesn’t stop just because you’re on holiday. A deep or lie-flat recline, suitable for your baby’s age, can make naps on the go more comfortable. Always follow safe sleep guidance.

6. Large canopy
From sunny city breaks to unpredictable British weather, an extendable UPF 50+ canopy with ventilation provides extra shade and protection while exploring.

7. Easy manoeuvring
Busy airports, narrow streets, packed cafés and crowded tourist attractions can be tricky enough without a pushchair that’s difficult to steer. Swivel wheels and easy one-handed steering can make a huge difference.

Of course, no pushchair ticks every box, so it’s about finding the right balance for how your family likes to travel.

What features would you prioritise in a travel stroller? We’d love your recommendations!

Save this checklist for your next pushchair purchase!
