Wholesale Beer was founded in July 1987 by Ralph Mauriello and Charlie Yim. operated out of a relatively small 5,000 square-feet building located in Middle Village, Queens, with a total of ten employees. Over the next 6 years, continued growth necessitated a series of moves, first to a 25,000 square foot facility on Stewart Avenue in Brooklyn in 1991, followed by a second move in 1993 to its curre

nt 60,000 square foot location on Gardner Avenue in Brooklyn. to continue delivering the high-level service that our customers have come to expect. is able to service its 10,500-customer base with a fleet of 22 route trucks, three merchandising vans, four High-Lows, and one 32-foot refrigerated box truck. Our average inventory is approximately $3,500,000; however, the current warehouse has the capacity to store in excess of $5,000,000 of product. There is an additional 5,000 square-feet of warehouse space designated for redemption of recycled products and a cold box which has a 10,500-barrel capacity. With 125 dedicated employees and a highly focused management team, S.K.I. has both the physical capacity and the manpower to continue to be a premier distributor of fine beers, malt liquors and cider. Unlike some other distributors, we actively promote and build the brands that are contained in our portfolio. We provide dedicated teams for both on-premise and off-premise sales as well as a team specializing in chain accounts. currently distributes to Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Staten Island, and Westchester, Putnam and Duchess Counties and all of Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties). expects to continue this growth trend with its mission of maintaining its status as a premier distributor.
