ACRE The Association of Commuter Rail Employees (ACRE) is a 21st Century Union created in January 2000

The Association of Commuter Rail Employees (ACRE) is a 21st Century Union created in January 2000 to represent operating craft employees at MTA Metro-North Railroad. We are the only independent Union in America that represents Conductors, Engineers, Power Directors, Rail Traffic Controllers, Signalmen, Yardmasters and Stationmasters under the Railway Labor Act. ACRE has been involved in working wi

th MTA and Metro-North Management in building what is universally recognized as the premier commuter railroad in America. We believe that the future of public commuter rail transportation requires an alliance between elected officials, customers, private business, and public sector employees. We are committed to working with all parties to continue to improve the service the taxpayers and riding public expect and deserve.
