Marrakesh gets all the attention, and it earns it. But the Morocco my clients rave about most starts once you leave the city.

Fes holds the world's largest car-free urban area, a medieval medina where coppersmiths, weavers, and tanneries still work the way they have for centuries. It's the country's cultural heart, and most visitors never make it there.

The High Atlas delivers Berber villages, mule trails, and mountain lodges with valley views, less than two hours from Marrakesh but a world apart.

Skoura's palm oasis and the kasbah route lead toward Sahara camps where dinner happens by firelight and the stars do the entertaining.

And Essaouira gives you the Atlantic: fortified ramparts, blue fishing boats, grilled seafood straight off the boat, and that famous ocean breeze.

One country, five completely different trips. Reach out to start planning!

What do I recommend to clients who have already done the classic safari? A salt pan the size of a small country.

Jack's Camp is set on the edge of Botswana's Makgadikgadi Pans, and it does safari like nowhere else on the continent. The signature experiences here exist almost nowhere else: sitting at sunrise with a habituated colony of meerkats (they'll climb onto your shoulder to use you as a lookout), walking the desert with Zu/'hoasi San guides who read the land like a book, and riding quad bikes far out onto the pans to sleep under a ceiling of stars.

The camp itself is legendary, rebuilt in its original 1940s expedition style with Persian rugs, brass fittings, and a tent that doubles as a working natural history museum. In the wet months, a little-known zebra migration moves through the grasslands.

Consider this the safari that surprises even the seasoned. Let's get you out on the pans.

Yes, I know you're asking AI about your next trip. Honestly? Keep doing it.

AI is useful early on: gathering ideas, comparing regions, figuring out what kind of trip you're actually in the mood for, drafting the packing list. Bring me all of it. A client who arrives with a screenshot of ideas gives me a head start I love.

Here's where the handoff happens: AI hasn't slept in the rooms. It doesn't know the hotel changed hands last year, which room category is worth the jump, or that the famous restaurant is coasting. It can't see live availability, add upgrades and credits through my partnerships, or answer the phone when your connection cancels at midnight.

Dream with AI. Book with a human. Send me what you've got and I'll take it the rest of the way.

A question I hear from clients who have already done Tokyo and Kyoto: what does round two of Japan look like?

One of my favorite answers is Amanemu, Aman's hot spring resort on the Ise-Shima peninsula, a coastline of green coves and fishing villages a couple of hours southeast of Kyoto and Osaka. Every suite and villa has its own onsen bath fed by mineral-rich thermal springs, so you get Japan's beloved bathing ritual in complete privacy. No shared pools or second-guessing the etiquette.

It shines brightest on a return trip, slow and deeply Japanese in a way the big cities can't be. First-timers shouldn't rule it out either: tack three nights onto the end of a Tokyo and Kyoto route, and you'll fly home rested instead of running on fumes.

First visit or fifth, Japan always has more to give. Reach out, and I'll start planning.

Big news for train lovers. England and Wales finally have their first luxury sleeper train, and it was worth the wait.

The Britannic Explorer, Belmond's newest train, departs London on three-night journeys through Cornwall, Wales, or the Lake District, with just 18 suites on board.

On board you'll find a botanical bar in the observation car and, the part nobody expects, a wellness suite offering treatments while the countryside rolls past. Step off the train for coastal hikes, wild swims in the Lakes, and private gallery dinners.

The dining is reason enough to book. Menus come from Simon Rogan, the chef behind three-Michelin-star L'Enclume.

Advisor tip: the routes are scheduled back-to-back, so you can chain Cornwall into Wales for one week covering two very different Britains. Cabins are limited, so let's talk timing.

Three signs it's time to work with a travel advisor:

1. You have 27 tabs open and less clarity than when you started. Endless reviews contradict each other. I've been to these places and can tell you in one call what actually fits.

2. The trip matters. Honeymoon, big anniversary, a once-in-a-lifetime destination. When the stakes are high, guesswork gets expensive, and a wrong hotel choice can't be refunded in memories.

3. You're the one who plans everything for everyone, and you'd like to actually be on this vacation instead of running it.

Sound familiar? Send me a message and see the difference on the very first trip.

Trend alert. Glowcations are one of the most requested trips of the year, and the requests keep coming for 2027.

So what is one? A glowcation is a trip built around skin, rest, and wellness rituals, with the goal of coming home visibly better than when you left. Less sightseeing marathon, more treatments, thermal waters, deep sleep, and good food doing their quiet work.

The destinations doing it best right now include South Korea, for K-beauty facials and bathhouse culture. Thailand, for herbal therapies and some of the finest massage traditions anywhere. And Europe, from Swiss longevity clinics to Italian thermal springs and Greek island wellness retreats.

Advisor note: The top practitioners and signature treatments book out weeks or months ahead, so I secure them before you land. Ready to glow? Message me.

Quick question. When photos like these stop your scroll, where does your mind go?

The trips people actually take usually start as a picture they couldn't shake. And fall happens to be the smartest time to act on one, with peak seasons ahead, calendars still open, and the best guides and rooms not yet claimed for next year.

My job is the part between the photo and the plane ticket. Which of these looks like your next trip? Drop it in the comments or send me a message.

The biggest shift in how my clients book right now: the why comes before the where.

Purpose-first travel, some are calling them whycations, starts with the reason instead of the destination. Celebrating a milestone. Learning something real, like cooking in Oaxaca or sailing in Croatia. Getting three generations around one table. Marking a recovery, a retirement, a new chapter. The place gets chosen because it serves the purpose, not the other way around.

Honestly, these are my favorite requests. Tell me the why, and I'll handle everything after it.

10/06/2026

The trips I'd start planning now? Almost all of them are at least a year away. Here's what's on the drawing board.

Japan for cherry blossom season. A villa summer in Europe. Patagonia at peak trekking season. Marbella or Tangier for front-row seats to the next total solar eclipse. Tuscany for the milestone birthday, and Bora Bora for the anniversary.

The common thread is lead time. These are the trips I lock in 12 to 18 months ahead, because the best guides, rooms, and dates genuinely run out. Eclipse week most of all.

If a big trip year is on your horizon, now is the time to say so. Send me a message, and I'll get started.
