Day 6–(more pictures to come)

Today was spent venturing to Delphi, the legendary oracle of Apollo, who shaped the world around us in so many way. It was a beautiful drive as Delphi is located in the heart of Mount Parnassus. This was definitely a favorite for the Newark history teachers, and several others on the trip.

On the way back, we were lucky enough to stop at the beach for a few hours and jump in for a swim!

Day 5–Updated w/more pictures 🙂

We ventured up to the Acropolis for some stunning views and history. Afterwards, we enjoyed some free time in Athens for shopping and some delicious Greek cuisine. The afternoon was spent at the Acropolis museum, followed by an evening at a Greek dance class and dinner. I think it is safe to say we are all loving Greece’s culture, history, and hospitable spirit.

Day 3–Pompeii & Naples

We had about a three hour bus ride to the archaeological wonder of Pompeii. This was a first for both Mr. Hall & myself, and we were not disappointed.

On the way back, we added an extra stop to Naples (the birthplace of pizza) to explore the beautiful city. While it certainly wasn’t Chicago style, it was every bit as delicious.

In the morning, we are off to Greece 🇬🇷

Day 2–

It was a 16,000+ step day through Rome; and we got to see some beautiful sights. From the Roman Forum to the Pantheon, the Vatican, and the Colosseum; we quite literally saw some wonders of the world. We closed our evening with a food walking tour of the city & some shopping. We are ready for some rest now, before heading to Pompeii in the morning.

We have all boarded the plane and we are off to London for our brief layover. Goodbye, Chicago 👋
