Busy weekend! Saturday spent the day on the boat with Capt Mike Vitagliano, Johanne Amberg, Derick Swanson, and Dave Guido. After culling through several shorts and and running out to the tuna grounds with just a few jigging set-ups we headed in from a full day on the water. Flike, porgy and sea bass to show for it. Got some more intel about BFT and decided to head out again Sunday morning. Conditions were much different! We proceeded to get beat up trying to get to the Haabs area and luckily eagle eye Capt Vit saw fish pushing in the rough surf and then verified by Guido seeing fish jump. We quickly were on the fish and headed to the barn. Back at the dock at 10 am from a 530 departure! Not a bad run but thinking it could half been half that if conditions were like the day before!
Almost forgot…..after being a little on the tired side Sunday afternoon Cheri Danis treated me to 10 # of steamers and she got some sushi. Nice way to cap off the day!
