Santee Sioux Nation Tatanka Transit Providing safe, reliable transportation for residents of Santee, NE, with trips to surrounding towns in Knox County, NE, and to Springfield & Yankton, SD

The Tatanka Transit provides transportation services for low-income residents of the Village of Santee, Nebraska, as well as members of the general public who have limited or no access to transportation. We offer rides throughout Knox County, Nebraska, and to Springfield and Yankton, South Dakota.

Now that Jess is back to the school Chrissean is our only driver. Please be respectful and a little courteous and remember that it does take time to get from Point A to Point B and he will not always be able to get to you right away. As a reminder you can always call the Transit Office and I will get you scheduled for a ride!

Attached to this post is a Contact List for all of the Transit employees and a reminder of some basic passenger rules while utilizing transit services.

***EDIT: I would like to add in there that #2 on the Passenger rules will be changed as brand new car seats and booster seats have been donated to us and will be put in the new transit vans when they arrive🙂***

Your reliability, positive attitude, and hard work have not gone unnoticed. We appreciate all the time and effort you've given to the transit and community. The Tatanka Transit would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to The Little Moccasin's Program Jodi Reynolds for your donation of 2 brand new booster seats and an infant sized car seat to go inside of our Transit Vans!

As a reminder, all children 6 and under are required to be in a car seat/booster seat when riding the Transit.
