I’ve seen a lot of influencers highlight having a “non-cdl” trucking business as a gimmick… like its something extra required to have a “non-cdl” business…

Non-CDL trucks are actually standard and will usually cost $10-15k more than a Class- B box truck due to the demand…

I bought my first box truck for $10k in 2014. I had no end game in mind. I just knew I wanted to own my own business and work for myself. These are some of the tips that helped me become a success in trucking…thank me later 😉

📌my personal favorite: the loudest person in the room is usually the brokest…look/act broke the first 5 years and STACK, STACK, STACK 💰

📌understand your operating costs 🧾

📌create a budget

📌stick to the line allocations of your budget

📌understand net vs gross

📌don’t put all your eggs in one basket

📌understand supply and demand cycles, seasonality, market trends, etc.

📌don’t borrow money unless it’s to make money

📌get a tax accountant… which is different from a CPA

📌INVEST 📈📉

You start to neglect the very things that will take your business to the next level, (i.e. professionalism, service levels, reliability, customer centricity, etc.)

Always think about what’s best for the business and how the decision you make will impact it.

Service makes all the difference… 💫

Figure out what separates you from the competition. You have to do more than just pick up, deliver and post pictures of freight.

Business is about relationship building. And who wants to build a relationship with a crappy service provider?😩

I always say:

“Make them fall in love with the service first.” 🚛❤️

After that, they don’t blink at your prices when you quote higher than market avg, because they see the value in what you’re offering them… peace of mind.
