Each week, Carnival Sunshine performs a carefully coordinated turnaround in the Elizabeth River in front of Waterside in Downtown Norfolk. Before heading out to sea, the ship uses powerful bow and stern thrusters to pivot within the river's narrow and busy navigation channel, positioning itself for its journey to paradise. 😎

This maneuver is a reminder of the precision and teamwork required to safely navigate a cruise ship through one of the busiest and most important harbor systems on the U.S. East Coast.

POV: You just watched The Odyssey and realized the iconic ship was docked at Nauticus back in 2018. 👀⚓

Yep, this legendary vessel, the world’s largest Viking ship sailing in modern times, spent three days on our waterfront before making its way into movie history. Safe to say we had a pretty epic visitor.
