Every month, we sponsor a different charity and we have lots of fun doing it! Soaring Saturdays, formerly known as Friday Flydays is a fundraiser event series hosted during the summer months from May through September. These fundraisers always take place on one Saturday of every month from 5pm - 8pm. The idea for Friday Flydays! was born out of a fundraiser that took place on August 19, 2016. The
public was invited out to the Auburn Airport for free food, music, static displays and airplane rides to help fund the Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy and the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. The event was a huge success and our guests were sad to see it end when the night finally came to a close. The airplane rides sold as a donation were a huge hit and if we had had more daylight, the rides would have continued. We made $5,000 in one three-hour event. With this new fundraiser series, Soaring Saturdays, we expect to make each event an even bigger success than our inspiration. We hope to include static displays of unique aircraft, antique cars, booths from our charity for the month, raffles, silent auctions, and more! We will always invite representatives from our charities out to bring you up close and personal with the people and the foundations you have come to sponsor. With these fundraisers, you can look forward to a fun "to-do" once a month to bring some spark and punctuation to your summer, making it one to remember!
