This week the Oswego Police Department was host to NEMRT, North East Multi-Regional Training, Inc. MTU #3's High-Risk Vehicle Stops: Train-the-Trainer class. Utilizing the department's indoor range, they were able to create realistic high-risk traffic stop scenarios to enhance training effectiveness. This course certifies instructors to deliver this crucial training at their own departments, which also helps save valuable time and resources. Two officers from OPD successfully completed the course and earned their instruction certification.
