In case you missed it, starting tomorrow, October 10, the weekend-only Cedar Falls and Edgewick Loop routes will serve all nine stops, beginning at North Bend Outlet Mall.

First run starts at 7:00 am, last run ends at 9:05 pm.
$1 per ride, and anyone can ride!
Free for ages 18 and under.
Lift-equipped buses with bike racks.

We were recently told that SVT got a bad review on some social media page. It apparently said, "These busses constantly impede traffic on the local valley road systems. Horrible management to allow a majority of these people to operate on public roads let alone with passengers." First off, our drivers are unbelievably well trained and safe. They are also really nice. And, to that person, let me just ask: Are you so tone-deaf to the needs in your own community that you'd prefer to have seniors (who can no longer drive) on the roads anyway? Or do you think they should just sit alone in their homes and be unable to access food and medical unless someone gives them a ride? Are YOU giving them all rides? Would you prefer Valley teens to go back to hitch hiking? And that single mom with a job in Seattle who's car got hit by a drunk and totaled... she needs to get her kids to daycare and then take a bus to work or she'll lose her job. Is she supposed to stay home with her kiddos and lose her job because she temporarily doesn't have a car? Dude. Be a good member of the community and think of the needs of others. Your privileged viewpoint is making you look angry, crass and stupid. And for those of you who think that transit is a blight, let me just say that this opinion is about as un-evolved as saying, "We can't put elk crossing signs on North Bend Way! If we do all the elk will flock there!" That's not how it works. The elk are already there and that's why the signs get installed. People who need transit are already in our community - thousands of them - and we are here, as a public service, to get them where they need to go. We do this about 70,000 times a year. Sorry it's an inconvenience to you.
