🎉 Happy National Intern Day!

This summer, our 2026 DRBA interns had the opportunity to explore key locations across the region, including the Cape May–Lewes Ferry, Cape May Airport, Millville Airport, Wilmington Airport, the Delaware Memorial Bridge, and Veterans Memorial Park.

Throughout the program, these talented young professionals made meaningful contributions in their respective departments while coming together to develop an inspiring capstone project. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork have made a lasting impact, and we can’t wait to see where their futures take them.

A huge thank-you to our interns for all of your hard work, and to everyone across the Delaware River and Bay Authority who helped mentor and support them along the way. We’re proud to celebrate you today and every day. 👏

The FAA is currently piloting a new tarmac sealing solution at Cape May Airport. This innovative treatment is designed to significantly extend pavement life and withstand the demands of heavy aircraft traffic. Testing at a smaller regional airport first allows the FAA to rigorously evaluate the sealing's performance before going to larger airports.
