Full circle God story today

Dan showed up on a farm in central Pennsylvania that Nelson and I were managing when he was 12 yrs old and he's been much like a lil brother to us ever since. Loves to operate big machinery just like us.

Fast forward a bunch of years, and Dan spent the last 7 or 8 driving for King Bros. He worked his way up, earned the seat and helped build one of our flagship trucks. He put 3 years and 300,000 miles of well earned heavy haul miles on that rig.

Then home and family started calling louder, and Dan made the hard call to step away from the OTR life. It wasn’t easy, but it was the right choice. He took local work for a season and kept his priorities straight.

Wouldn't you know it, the door opened back into heavy haul, this time with my brother’s operation out of Mifflintown. A year or 2 later, we decided to upgrade our fleet and put that truck up for sale.

I never pictured it ending this way, but Dan is now the proud owner of the very rig he helped build.

I love stories like this. We have a good heavenly Father who works all things for our good - if we will allow Him to. (Romans 8:28)

Congratulations, Dan. Proud of you! Keep the shiny side up. 🙌

This week is National Driver Appreciation Week — and we're taking a moment to honor the people who keep America moving.

72.7% of all U.S. freight moves by truck. 11.27 billion tons every year. That's not a statistic — that's our team showing up every single day.

To every driver on the King Bros team — thank you. We wouldn't be here without you. 🖤
