Flashing RED lights mean STOP!

Yellow lights are your warning that the bus is coming to a stop. Once the driver activates the flashing red lights, students are entering or exiting the bus.

When you see a school bus: Slow down, prepare to stop, and STAY STOPPED until the flashing red lights are deactivated.

Northfield Public Schools will be closed Monday, March 16th. Benjamin Bus will not be providing any transportation services to or from the Northfield area.

The Northfield Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026, due to conditions related to the current blizzard. All classes and activities are canceled for the day. This is our first e-Learning Day.

Northfield Public Schools will make a decision about the District Band Concert scheduled for the evening of March 16 by noon on Monday. The plan for the concert will be emailed to families.

The Northfield High School Pre-Bid Walkthrough will be held as scheduled on March 16 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

🚌💛 What a day! Benjamin Bus is so grateful to our community and schools for making School Bus Driver Appreciation Day truly special. From George's Vineyard, James Gang Coffeehouse & Eatery, CakeWalk, Northfield Public Schools and everyone who showed our drivers love today — THANK YOU!

For School Bus Driver Appreciation Day we treated our incredible drivers to donuts and lunch because they deserve to be celebrated. But the real heroes showed up afterward — when our drivers headed out into snowy, icy conditions to pick up students and deliver each and every one of them home safely. That's what they do, every single day, no matter the weather.

To our drivers: You are the backbone of this community. Thank you for your dedication, your care, and your unwavering commitment to keeping our kids safe. We see you, we appreciate you, and we're so proud to work alongside you. ❄️🚌

Our drivers work so hard to keep our kids safe every single day, and it's wonderful to see local businesses like CakeWalk show them some love. You made their day extra special! 💛

We appreciate our bus drivers and all they do transporting our kiddos safely everyday!! Bus drivers stop in today and recieve a free cupcake on us!! Thank you for all that you do!!!

**Update** The Northfield Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 due to icy road conditions, specifically on gravel roads. While paved roads are in good shape, gravel roads continue to be extremely icy.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Paul Wellstone’s Iconic Green Bus to Appear at Walk for Recovery 2025 -- TOMORROW!

St. Paul, MN — September 13, 2025 — One of Minnesota’s most enduring political symbols of hope and people-powered change will return to the Capitol *this weekend.*

Paul Wellstone’s Green Bus — the same school bus that helped carry him to a historic grassroots victory in 1990 — will be featured at Walk for Recovery 2025, Minnesota’s largest recovery event, hosted by Minnesota Recovery Connection.

As restorations continue, the Green Bus carries a new mission: to promote healing, unity, and face-to-face connection. Its return reminds us of what’s possible when people come together — across communities, across differences — to build something better.
