🚧 Progress Taking Flight at Nucla Hopkins Field! ✈️

Big things are happening at Nucla Hopkins Field, and the future is looking bright!

We’re excited to see our Taxiway C and Apron Rehabilitation Project moving forward. This important project is a significant investment in the airport’s infrastructure and will help ensure the continued safety, reliability, and long-term sustainability of our airfield.

What may look like construction and pavement today represents something much bigger — investing in our airport, supporting our pilots and aviation community, and building for the future of Nucla and the surrounding region.

We’re proud of the progress and excited to watch this project take shape! 🚜🛫

This Memorial Day, the Nucla Cemetery will be honored with a flyover by F-16 Fighting Falcons from the Colorado Air National Guard 140th Wing at approximately 11:13 a.m. as part of a statewide tribute to America’s fallen service members.

These Memorial Day flyovers honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and remind us of the true cost of freedom. 🇺🇸

Installation of a new Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) is officially beginning at Nucla Hopkins Field. This upgrade will provide pilots and visitors with real-time, accurate weather data—enhancing safety, improving flight planning, and supporting the continued growth of our local airport.

We appreciate your patience during the installation process and look forward to the benefits this new system will bring to our region. Stay tuned for updates as work progresses!
