HOLIDAY IN VERMONT
December 1 – December 7, 2026
Day 1: Depart and relax as we begin our journey to Vermont. We’ll spend the night in Cleveland, OH.
Hotel: Drury Inn Cleveland-Beachwood
Day 2: After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Vermont. As you enter Vermont, you will be transported into a Christmas scene to remember. Enjoy dinner at the Inn surrounded by holiday décor and a pianist with a keepsake songbook for caroling. Hotel: Middlebury Inn
Day 3: Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Inn. A step into Victorian times at Billings Farm & Museum, which was established in 1871, will take you into the 19th century as you enter the farmhouse to see historic holiday decorations showcasing authentic Victorian Christmas traditions. Enjoy holiday stories and cooking demonstrations of holiday foods and gingerbread ornaments. Lunch will be on your own in Woodstock, VT. A cheese tasting will follow at The Crowley Cheese Factory built in 1882—now a National Historic Place—the oldest continually-operating cheese factory in America. Next, we’ll visit the Vermont Country Store. Remember those gifts you got as a kid? A visit here is truly a trip down memory lane! Dinner will be included. Hotel: Middlebury Inn
Day 4: After breakfast, we will meet our local guide for A Maple Woodcraft Toy Tour. Upon arrival you will be led on a tour of this remarkable woodworking operation where you can watch artisans crafting iconic American toys. Try your hand at making an ornament to take home for the holidays! Enjoy lunch on your own in Burlington. After lunch, we will go to A Country Christmas Loft. Step through the doors and enter The Village of Shelburne at Christmastime. The Loft is full of holiday spender and sights to behold. Next, we will visit The Vermont Teddy Bear Company. Enjoy a guided tour to see how the fur is cut, how they assemble the bears and even see a teddy bear hospital! Enjoy dinner at a Sugarhouse. A true maple dinner is served to include maple salad dressing, maple ham, and a maple dessert. After dinner, check out the stunning holiday winter lights at the Shelburne Museum. The Von Trapp Family Lodge will be our host for two nights. The lodge is decorated to the “Christmas Nines” in true Austrian fashion. Hotel: Von Trapp Family Lodge.
Day 5: After breakfast at the hotel, we will have a tour of the Von Trapp Family Lodge. The tour begins with an overview of the family history—actual vs. movie versions—of the family’s early years in America. Following the tour, we will enjoy a Christmas activity. Lunch will be on your own. After lunch you will have a choice between a visit to a family owned and operated nursery to watch a hand-made wreath created from scratch or learn to make a holiday food gift. From there we are on to learning about dog sledding—the sport of mushing. Return to the lodge for a little free time to wander, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie hosted by the Lodge and relax a little before dinner. A wonderful dinner at the Lodge will be followed by a Yankee Swap! Hotel: Von Trapp Family Lodge.
Day 6 Breakfast at the hotel and then a quick stop at a c***r mill. A Vermont legend since 1974, the Mill is now New England’s largest producer of apple c***r. Make a quick stop to pick up their famous c***r doughnuts! Learn about c***r making and enjoy free samples of c***r and other VT products. There is a glass observation beehive in the honey section, and you may choose to visit Grand View Winery, a year-round Christmas Shop, or taste the flavors of homemade fudge! We will spend the night in Cleveland, OH. Hotel: Drury Inn Cleveland-Beachwood
Day 7: Breakfast will be enjoyed before departing for home after a great trip!
