OEM vs aftermarket, grease vs Klotz. The OEM shaft's coating flakes off over time — sharp edges, rust, wiped seals, dead pump. Klotz jet pump oil + an aftermarket shaft with no coating to fail? That combo lasts way longer.

Our Test: Took a Seadoo GTX 130 Rental Ski, used just klotz oil and an aftermarket shaft combo. Result: 417 hours and NO rebuild needed, jetpump is MINT!

The hose clamp didn't hold on this Sea-Doo's busted thermostat housing. The customer wanted to try the budget fix first — snap it back together with a hose clamp — so we tried it. Coolant kept dumping out, so we did it the right way with a brand new housing. Ski's good to go.

Teardown on the Connecticut mail-in jet pump: impeller's off and the shaft is rusted — water got past the seals, so this one needs a full rebuild (shaft, seals, bearings, o-rings, klotz oil) plus an impeller and wear ring. Customer gets the call with the quote next; if he approves, we fix it and ship it back.

We ran this rental Sea-Doo's jet pump since June 19th — 417 hours — with zero grease. Only Klotz jet pump oil. Pulled it today and the bearings look and feel perfect.
