Maintenance crews appreciate the PT6A’s modular design. Swap a hot section in the field? No problem. That means minimal downtime for the AT-402 fleet during the critical crop season. More uptime = more acres treated and healthier crops worldwide. The little engine that could… and does!

The Beechcraft King Air F90 (the funky one with the T-tail!) gets even funkier with a PT6A-135A retrofit. StandardAero’s upgrade brings the F90’s performance closer to its bigger B200 brother. Owners report better climb and “set-it-and-forget-it” engine temps, even on hot days. That’s the PT6A magic.

Behold the Frakes “Turbo Cat” 🐱 – a Grumman Ag Cat biplane retrofitted with a PT6A turboprop.

The A/B/C models of this conversion took a classic and made it a legend. With around 680 shp on tap (PT6A-15AG), the Turbo Cat leaps off crop fields and can turn on a dime over the orchards. Vintage looks, modern muscle!

In the latest FAA STC, the Autothrottle is certified for King Air 300 aircraft equipped with four-blade propellers and Pratt & Whitney PT6-60A engines.

Garmin's Autothrottle and Autoland for King Air 300-series turboprops are a big boost in utility.

The LET L-410 has a bit of a cult following – pilots appreciate its straightforward systems and rugged construction. Thanks to the PT6A’s strong performance, even on one engine it can maintain altitude with a moderate load, enhancing safety in harsh operating areas. It’s the definition of no-frills, get-it-done air transport.

A fun memory for many: the PC-6 was featured in a James Bond movie (GoldenEye’s opening jump scene); yes, that was a PT6A-powered Porter diving out of a canyon!

Hollywood aside, in real life it’s saved countless lives by reaching remote villages and rescue sites.
The PT6A-27 gives it the brawn and the Pilatus design gives it the brains.
