The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Airport Commission Aviation Hangar, 15321 Pflumm Road, in Olathe. The workshop will be an open house format with no formal presentation. Details below!

61 years ago today, Kansas native Gen. Joe Engle, flew the X-15 to an altitude of 50 miles above Earth, qualifying him for his astronaut wings. Gen. Joe Engle went on to become the commander of STS-2, the space shuttle's 2nd orbital test flight.

Today between 9:00am to 1:00pm, Olathe will be conducting roadway maintenance on Pflumm from W 151st St. to W 159th St. As part of this maintenance, they will be shutting down the entrance for northbound traffic entering from the roundabout on 159th St.

All business traffic will need to enter southbound from W 151st St.
