We are now accepting credit cards, again.
However, if you’re paying with a card there will be an extra 6 cents added onto the total per each transaction.

As of 08/25/2025: We are ONLY ACCEPTING CASH payments for crossing, until further notice.

$1.50: cars, trucks, suvs etc
$2.50: Box vehicles
$3.50: Tri-Axles, propane, water, septic trucks etc
$6.00: Logger etc
Free: Ambulance, Police, and Fire Dept

June 6, 2025: We received an email from Melvin Randolph Carpenter’s (man who built the Oldtown Toll Bridge) daughter, Catherine Jean Carpenter. She is 95 years old and remembers the time as a girl she was being paid $1 per month to check the math of the toll-keeper, Mr. Yunk Ginavan. She said “this was really just daddy’s way to teach me math.”
She remembers details of experiences related to the bridge with fondness, while Catherine now lives in Franklin, TN.
