Union Pacific's Employee Resource Group, UP VETS, played a pivotal role in organizing donations at the Airman’s Attic on Offutt Air Force Base on June 21. The Airman’s Attic functions as a goodwill-type store specifically for enlisted personnel at the E6 rank and below. It offers a variety of items, including military uniforms, household goods, and even features a food pantry. This resource is also accessible to the families of enlisted personnel, especially when they are not stationed in Omaha. Donations from the community are welcomed, provided the items are in good working order and condition.

The attached picture shows the donation room where we sorted through all the items, ensuring they were either hung up or placed on the correct shelves. This effort was made to create a welcoming and organized environment for those who utilize the Airman’s Attic.

The following UP employees dedicated their time and effort to assist in this initiative:
Heath Wright
Bobby Sheldon
Tom & Brooke Secora
Warren Higdon
John Ivester
Jeffery Roberts
Patrick Bock

The South Texas UPVETS thanks the San Antonio Service Unit for their support, enabling them to represent Union Pacific and aid their community. They successfully partnered with Flags For Fallen Vets for Memorial Day, raising several thousand dollars and participating in a significant volunteer effort at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Special thanks to the volunteers and their families for their dedication. The recent Safety Feed event was a major success, with many stepping up to organize, cook, and keep the event running despite challenges. The event served hundreds from various crafts in the San Antonio area.
