Veterans Airfield

Veterans Airfield VAF provides large open area that is amendable to family friendly events with non-aligned veteran run organizations.

Veterans Airfield (VAF) is a vision of veterans, aviators and their supporters to create a home that combines an active airfield with facilities for the veteran community. VAF is open to all veterans and their families, along with their supporters who desire an easily accessible location which provides a myriad of options from small intimate gatherings to large multi group events. We envision incr

easing the number of events that will promote awareness, fundraising, and camaraderie for veterans organizations and VAF. VAF is an active, self sufficient airfield which is focused towards increasing airfield operations, as well as rental spaces to grow the working budget. We strive to enhance the airport to support the future of VAF and their supporters philanthropic focus. VAF aims towards increasing veterans outreach programs and capital improvements. Your support of Veterans Airfield is needed, and like the services of the veterans themselves, is greatly appreciated.

"She flew rings around the rest." Debbie Rihn-Harvey may be retiring from commercial aviation, but her flying days are far from over.

Debby Rihn-Harvey grew up in Omaha, soloed at 16 in a small plane at Eppley, became an internationally acclaimed aerobatics pilot and spent 27 years with Southwest Airlines, piloting the airline's first departing flight out of Omaha.
