As part of the Build OMA Terminal Modernization Program, the Omaha Airport Authority is adding a new Central Pedestrian Skywalk. Construction is scheduled to begin August 31, 2026, and is expected to be completed in 2028.

The Central Skywalk will become the airport’s third skywalk from parking. It will connect Level 3 of South Garage to Level 2 of the new Central Pavilion, allowing passengers to conveniently walk directly from the garage to the entrance of the new centralized security checkpoint. The project also includes renovations of the airport’s two existing skywalks and construction of new elevators in the South Garage adjacent to the new skywalk.
