Starting out the week strong with another 11 axle move

Kicking off the week with another 11 axle move using an American 9250 as we head out to a new job site. This crane required seven trucks to transport all the fall-off loads. Excited for the challenges ahead.

We have a couple of exciting multi-crane pictures coming up this week. Time to break in some new talent.

This morning, our crew successfully loaded out another American 9270 for one of our oldest customers Inc. from our yard, collaborating with our sister company, Gold Coast Crane. We stripped it down and loaded it onto multiple staging trailers for redelivery to Hialeah Gardens tomorrow.

Our ability to load out and stage multiple trailers ensures that everything arrives at the job site in the correct order, distinguishing our company from many others. This particular move involved an 11 axle RGN along with seven additional trailers for all of the fall-off loads.

Keep Gold Coast Heavy Hauling in mind for all your specialty transport needs.

Recently, we were contracted to facilitate the removal of a hydraulic accumulator for one of the lifeboat davits on the largest cruise ship in the world. This project required close collaboration with multiple agencies, including several meetings with the US Coast Guard, Port of Miami, and the cruise ship operator. Our objective was to coordinate the optimal timing for operations, ensuring the ship could be serviced while in port and that repairs were completed before its scheduled departure later that day.

To achieve this, we developed a comprehensive plan that included providing dunnage and a support system to cradle the 44,000-pound, 45-foot-long lifeboat. This setup allowed us to safely move the lifeboat away from the ship, enabling cranes and repair crews to access the hydraulic accumulator for necessary repairs. Once repairs were completed, we moved the lifeboat back into place so it could be hoisted back into position, allowing the ship to continue its journey without interruptions to its scheduled itinerary.

It has been another incredibly busy week managing operations between rain showers. We have transported the usual amount of earth and moved equipment, including dozers, loaders, and excavators. Additionally, we handled several specialty loads, such as air-conditioning chillers and a swing gear for one of the walking drag lines at Titan America.

Our crew dedicated the morning to collaborating with Gold Coast Crane Service, successfully removing and relocating a prefabricated container home from a backyard in North Miami to its new location in Plantation, FL.

We utilized a 275-ton crane for the load out and a 75-ton crane, supported by multiple riggers at each site. The container home was loaded onto one of our Landoll trailers for secure transport to its new destination.
