After more than four years with Kilker Boatworks, our Administrative Assistant, Deanna, will be moving on to her next chapter.

Since joining us in June 2022, Deanna has been an important part of our day-to-day operations and has helped keep countless details organized behind the scenes. While we’re certainly sad to see her go, we’re grateful for the time she has spent with us and wish her nothing but success in what comes next.

With Deanna’s departure, we have some big shoes to fill. Kilker Boatworks is now seeking a motivated, organized, and personable Administrative Assistant to join our team. If you or someone you know may be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you.

Building a custom boat sometimes looks like there’s no rhyme or reason—until the pieces begin taking their place. After being designed, molded, fabricated, and carefully fitted, the Formula 233’s new deck is now bringing the larger vision into focus.

A fresh look for Sharshee Dawn. From repairing and refinishing the transom to installing the vessel’s new illuminated name, this project brought the entire area back together with a clean, polished finish.
The transformation gives the stern a renewed appearance by day and a striking presence at night—another detail that helps the vessel stand out on the dock.

Every major rebuild reaches a point where individual parts stop looking like separate projects and start looking like a boat again—and we're excited to say this Formula 233 has entered that stage.

Over the past several weeks, our team has been designing, molding, and fabricating a variety of custom components for this build.

There's still plenty of work ahead, but it's always exciting when the results of countless hours in the shop begin to show themselves on the boat.

Every successful restoration starts with a solid foundation, and this week’s progress is all about rebuilding strength from the inside out.
Our team began fabricating a custom hatch receiver ring mold that will be used to recreate the deck access hatch receiver on this classic vessel. With the deck section carefully positioned upside down on sawhorses, the mold was precisely attached and fiberglassed into place from the underside, creating a strong and accurate foundation for the new hatch opening.
Once the receiver ring was securely bonded, technicians’ custom-cut and fitted foam coring throughout the deck structure. This critical step restores stiffness, strength, and long-term durability while maintaining proper weight characteristics. The coring was then encapsulated with additional fiberglass laminates, creating a reinforced deck assembly built to exceed the original construction.
Stay tuned as we continue bringing this vessel back to life—one stage at a time.

We're excited to share progress on an extensive Formula 233 reconstruction currently underway at our facility.
This project goes far beyond a traditional restoration. Working closely with the owner, we're implementing a series of structural and design modifications intended to improve overall vessel balance by strategically shifting weight forward and optimizing the boat's running attitude on the water.

The scope of work includes custom fiberglass construction, structural modifications, and the integration of redesigned storage and equipment locations to better distribute weight throughout the hull. Every change is being engineered and fabricated with the goal of improving performance, efficiency, and handling characteristics while maintaining the integrity and appearance of the vessel.

As with all of our custom projects, each modification is being carefully planned, fabricated, and installed using proven marine construction techniques and materials to ensure long-term durability in a demanding marine environment.

Stay tuned for more progress photos and behind-the-scenes updates from the shop.
