Before airboats became what we know today, people were trying just about everything.

Around 1970, AirGator was experimenting with some pretty wild ideas — including this Aeroglide setup fitted with a rotor.

This was the era of Florida airboat racing, experimentation, and builders constantly trying to figure out what these machines could do next. It's also the world Stan Floyd came up in, long before Dixie Airboats in Texas and eventually American Airboat Corp.

We're digging deeper into some of this early airboat history, and we'd love to hear from the people who were there.

American Airboat Corp. is looking for Mechanics and a General Laborer to join our team.

We build airboats from the ground up—boats made to work hard, go places others can’t, and perform in some of the toughest environments around the world.

🔧 MECHANICS
If you’re mechanically inclined, know your way around tools, and take pride in doing the job right, we want to hear from you. Marine experience is a plus, but mechanical experience and a willingness to learn are what matter.

🛠️ GENERAL LABORER
We’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and ready to help wherever needed in the shop. A good opportunity to learn hands-on skills in boat building, fabrication, and the marine industry.
