Never Too Old to Go Back

My first trip to Disney World was in 1985. My brother and I would fly the Dumbo skies and spin the teacups until we were dizzy. We couldn’t get enough of Figment or Spaceship Earth. We sought out Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and every character we could find for hugs and slept with our autograph books clutched in our hands.

It wasn’t until 1998 that I would be able to return for a second time. I was tagging along on a family vacation and wasn’t sure if the magic would be the same as an adult. Would I even fit in a teacup? Would seeing Mickey be the same (you know, now that I know…)? The good news was yes, I still fit in a teacup! And yes, seeing Mickey was just as magical as the first time! It was all those things I remembered as a child, plus so much more as an adult seeing it through a child's eyes. (Not to mention two new parks had emerged!)

Fast forward to 2018, I now live in SW Florida and I am an Annual Passholder, an avid runDisney participant (45 races and counting including 2 D***y Challenges!) and love making new memories with the Mouse!
