You had me at monorail through the lobby. 😂🚝

Here are my Top 4 Reasons I love the vibe at the Contemporary resort:

❤️ 1. Chef Mickey’s
We traditionally start our Disney trip here, and honestly, it gets us SO excited for the vacation! Getting to see Mickey & friends before the fun week even begins just feels like the perfect way to kick things off. 🎉

Is it a 5-star meal? Not really. 😂 But for me, it’s much more about the atmosphere, the characters and the memories than the food. And there’s just something magical about sitting there while the monorail zooms right by!

🎨 2. The AMAZING murals
You can’t miss the huge 90-foot mural in the Grand Canyon Concourse. It was created by Disney Legend Mary Blair, the artist behind the distinctive look of it’s a small world. And here’s a fun fact: it was her largest work ever—and her last work for Disney! 😍

🚝 3. Watching the monorail go through the resort
Grab a coffee and just hang out for a few minutes while the monorails glide through the resort. ☕️🚝 There’s something about watching them go by overhead that instantly makes me feel like I’m at Disney.

🛍️ 4. The shopping
And can we talk about the gift shops?! I think the Contemporary has arguably some of the best resort shopping at Disney. Whether you’re looking for Disney souvenirs, something for the kids or just a little something to take home, I always want to stop and look. 😂

The Contemporary just has that classic Disney feeling that makes you know your vacation has officially started. ✨

Most people know this, but seriously… if you have something that you would be so sad to lose, either keep it with you at all times or just don’t bring it. ✈️

For me, it’s usually jewelry. I obviously don’t bring anything super valuable, but I do have some Pandora Disney bracelets that I bring with me. 🩷

I’ve collected the charms on different Disney vacations and cruises, and I even have a Chef Mickey one! 🥰 So if that bracelet was lost, I would be so sad.

But I love wearing it at Disney! ✨ So I keep it with me at all times and would never put it in my checked luggage.

It’s a simple travel tip, but one worth remembering: If you’d be heartbroken to lose it, keep it close. ❤️

🎉Has this ever happened to you before? You get a great spot for the fireworks and someone tall gets right in front of you.

🎆This happened to us on a recent trip with my daughter and friends and he stood right in front of them. But he was super nice and I guess he needs a spot to stand too!?
