I always see people saying they hate Gateway Arch and that it shouldn’t be a national park.
And I do agree it probably fits better as a monument. But to say it has nothing to do with a park isn’t really true either.
The arch is in a park and on a sunny day it was lovely to walk along the Mississippi River. The museum was so well done, I wish I’d had more time to read everything. And the gift shop was one of the nicest we’ve seen at a national park!
No, it’s not Zion or Yosemite. No, I’m not putting it in my top 5. But I still think it’s worth visiting.
Every national park site has something special about it and the Gateway Arch represents the westward expansion of the United States. Maybe it’s cause I love history so I could appreciate it 🤷♀️
