We’re officially 6 DAYS away from our first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and apparently I’ve reached the “order random things to make the night better” phase of planning. 😂🎃

I ordered a petticoat to make 👑🐝’s costume more comfortable, a light-up Nightmare Before Christmas creature, an Oogie Boogie Squishmallow, AND a magnetic phone holder for our stroller.

And yes, Oogie and our light-up friend are absolutely going to decorate the stroller to match our costumes. 😂

At this rate, the stroller may be the best dressed member of the family. 💀🎃

I just booked a girls trip on Utopia of the Seas and now I kind of want to invite myself. 😂🚢🍹

I really do love cruises for friend groups. You unpack once, there’s plenty for everyone to do, nobody has to plan every second of the trip, and you can all meet back up for dinner, drinks and whatever trouble you’ve decided to get into that night. 😂

If your friend group has been saying “we need to take a trip together” forever… maybe this is your sign to actually plan it. 👀🚢

The Violet Sake is already one of Colin’s favorite drinks in the World Showcase, but somehow I had NO IDEA there was a Violet Sake Slushie at Kabuki Cafe! 💜🍧

Obviously, I had to try it on our last trip. 😂 And on an insanely hot EPCOT afternoon, it was SO good.

Just when I think I know all the good Disney snacks and drinks, I find another one to add to the list!

🎃 ONE WEEK until our first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

We’ve officially decided what entertainment matters most to us: Boo-to-You, the fireworks, Hocus Pocus, DescenDANCE and plenty of Haunted Mansion atmosphere.

Add those to our character wish list AND our food wish list and… we have a slight problem. 😂

There is absolutely no way we’re doing everything.

So now it’s time to make some decisions and build the actual plan.

And because it’s September and apparently I can’t just make a normal itinerary…

Is Halloween Horror Nights cheaper than Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? It certainly can be.

But I don’t think they’re really an apples-to-apples comparison. 🎃👻

HHN is for someone looking for scares, haunted houses and horror. MNSSHP is characters, costumes, trick-or-treating, parades, fireworks and Disney Halloween.

For our family and what we want from this trip, MNSSHP makes sense.

But is it actually worth what we paid? This is our first one, so I’m not answering that yet. 😂

Okay, THIS is why I always check all the stateroom categories when I’m pricing a cruise. 👀🚢

I found a 3-night Halloween on the High Seas sailing aboard the Disney Dream for 2 adults + 1 child where the current pricing is:

🎃 Inside: $2,405
🌊 Oceanview: $2,081
🚢 Verandah: $2,225

So yes, you could currently book a verandah for LESS than an inside stateroom. 🤯

There are still Halloween on the High Seas sailings available for 2026! If you’ve ever thought about doing Disney Cruise Line for Halloween, send me a 🎃 and I’ll see what options are still out there for your family.

Obviously we aren’t going to meet everyone AND see all the entertainment AND trick-or-treat AND do everything else we want to do in one night.

So before I start making the painful cuts, I need help from the MNSSHP veterans:

Well, my EPCOT Food & Wine “research” was abbreviated this trip. 😂

But of the three things we tried, the Canada filet was the CLEAR winner. 🏆🇨🇦

And next time I’m in France? Skip the Cosmo. Give me the champagne. 😂🥂

Today we’re discussing a very serious matter: what are we eating?! 😂

I went through the Halloween food guide and my wish list got a little out of control.

We definitely won’t eat all of it because characters and entertainment are our priority, but we’ll see what makes the cut once I build our party plan!
