Thank you.

Just over a week ago I did not know how I was going to move myself back to Iowa or where I’d live. Then God started showing up for me through people. I did not ask for help from anyone but God and this is how I know He is active in our lives.

A friend shipped me ham because I wanted it for Thanksgiving and could not have.

Many sent me encouraging words privately and are praying for me.

My brother and his wife said to not worry they would help and I could stay with them until I found a place to live.

One dear friend texts me almost daily to check in on me. She gives me a lot of attitude and I love her for it!

A longtime friend offered her son and his girlfriend up to drive down from Iowa to help me move my things.

Another close friend offered up her boyfriend’s son and friends to help me load truck as well and even help in Iowa if need be. These guys have helped before and they are outstanding men. In addition, she invited me to have Christmas dinner with her and family.

Yet another is allowing me to help decorate her home for Christmas.

And then this one blew me away tonight. I went to my mailbox and opened a thank you card from a friend who was thanking me for some small things I had done for him and his father over the years. I’ve know this young man since he was a young child. We talk about God from time to time. Amazing man of faith. Great husband, father, son and friend. He wrote a special note that touched me to my very core. I broke down crying. He said he was shown what to do for me while in prayer. He is a perfect example of how God uses us to be the hands and feet of Jesus here on Earth. God nudged and he obeyed. I am filled with gratitude.

Every single gesture or kind words and prayers have helped me feel as if I am not alone and I want each and everyone of you to know how much I love you for loving me. Thank you is not enough. I will honor your generosity by paying it forward and to always obey God’s nudges myself.

My Mom and I use to have these types of conversations. I know she would also thank each of you for watching out for me. I’m certain she is smiling down from Heaven assuring me that I am loved and there are still good people in this world.

Hope showed up in a chance meeting today at work in the form of a customer's daughter. I know for a fact we were suppose to meet. Long story but it was a God thing! An appointment he made not us. I am grateful for every blessing he sends!
