Every aircraft goes through our diligence process, including a 127-point evaluation checklist, three production-level test flights, a thorough logbook review, and more.

Meet our friend and charter pilot, Matt McFarlane! ✈️

Every fall, Matt welcomes the aviation community to his family’s ranch just south of Turlock, California, for the McFarlane Fly-In.

What started as a small gathering in 2010 has grown into quite the tradition, with 70+ aircraft touching down on the ranch’s 1,600-foot grass runway.

Wishing Matt and his aviation crew another great fly-in and a beautiful weekend!

“Do not get consumed by the shiny object. Look past the surface gloss and dive into the weeds. Look in the corners of places like service wells, battery compartments, above/behind the rear main in the gear well, and under the seat cushions. Pull back the curtain to understand how well someone has taken care of an asset.”

Jason, our Director of Maintenance, has some maintenance advice to share this Thursday afternoon. The throwback photos are just a bonus.

"Don’t postpone maintenance items just because the airplane is still flying well. In Part 91 flying maintenance requirements are less restrictive than Part 135, but small squawks are often early indicators of larger issues.

Addressing discrepancies promptly not only improves reliability and safety, but it is usually far less expensive than waiting for a minor problem to become a major repair.”
