After a little holiday sabbatical, we’re back to shouting out our favorite fun jumpers in the community! 🪂 To make up for lost time, this week is a two-for-one spotlight featuring none other than Stacy Brockett and Carlton Lockwood 🙌 ✈️
These two are the definition of homegrown skydivers. They both learned to skydive right here in Ovid over 5 years ago, and after getting licensed around the same time, they quickly became each other’s go-to formation buddy. Between them, they’ve racked up just under 1,000 jumps — most of them right here at home 🏡
These days, you’ll usually find them hanging around the DZ with the rest of our motley crew — jumping in whenever we’re short-staffed to answer questions or help direct tandem guests, and to organize 4–6 way jumps with newer members of our community 💪
They’re always happy to give packing tips to new packers, share a great jump story, or offer some much-needed encouragement to students. And, they’re always down to help us pull off the craziest ideas, that eventually turn into the best stories. From a demo jump into Carlton’s backyard to the time an underwear company sponsored us to model for some “Hundie Undie” skydiving content for their social media. They are always down to send it!
Stacy and Carlton dominated the leaderboard this past year 🏆, and we’re excited to help them do it again in 2026! They’re two of our very best skydiving pals, and we’re so grateful they came back home to Ovid when we launched SSL! 💙🌤️
