OWENSBORO AIR SHOW: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

We are so excited to welcome everyone to Owensboro September 11-13 for the Owensboro Air Show presented by Owensboro Health! Before you head out, here are a few quick things to know as you make your plans for the weekend:

✈️ WHERE IS THE AIR SHOW?
Friday Night Flight: Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport
Saturday & Sunday: Owensboro Riverfront

✈️ HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Friday Night Flight admission is $5 CASH at the gate. Kids 12 & under, military, veterans and first responders get in FREE.
The Saturday and Sunday Air Show along the riverfront is completely FREE - no ticket required! Bring a chair and find your favorite spot along the riverfront.

✈️WILL THE THUNDERBIRDS PERFORM EVERY DAY?
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will NOT perform Friday night. They are scheduled to perform Saturday and Sunday over the Ohio River.

As always, performer appearances and schedules are subject to change due to weather, maintenance and other circumstances beyond our control.

✈️WHERE DO I PARK?
Friday Night Flight:
Parking at the airport is FREE. Additional parking will be available after 5:00 p.m. at the U.S. Bank location off Tamarack Road, with a FREE trolley taking guests to and from the airport.

Saturday & Sunday:
Both the Daviess Street and Locust Street parking garages will be open for $10. Free street parking is also available throughout downtown, and several downtown businesses and organizations will offer paid parking.

✈️ WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Bring chairs or blankets, water and ear protection for little ones - these aircraft can get LOUD! Temperatures could also be high this weekend, so come prepared for the heat.
Food trucks will be available, and plenty of our downtown restaurants and businesses will be open throughout the weekend.

✈️ WHERE CAN I SIT?
On Saturday and Sunday, you can set up your chairs along the Owensboro riverfront, with the exception of the reserved seating area directly behind the Owensboro Convention Center.
You can also watch from English Park, where we’ll have show audio playing over speakers along with food trucks!

Mark your calendars!! Friday Night Flight is coming to the Airport on September 11th. Gates open at 4:00 PM for aircraft viewing, a pilot meet-and-greet, a USAF Thunderbird autograph session, and a firework finale to close out the night. $5 per person (cash only at the gate), kids 12 & under free, military and first responders free. See you on the runway! 🎆✈️

📌 Thursday, September 10: Old Owensboro Neighborhood Alliance Special Called Meeting - 5:30 p.m. CT/6:30 p.m. ET - 105 West 3rd Street

📌 Friday, September 11: Owensboro Air Show Friday Night Flight at the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport. Gates open at 4:00 p.m.
