We are currently seeking CDL and non CDL drivers to train for the fall semester. You will be paid during your training period. Negative drug test required. Valid drivers License. Will pay higher rate for experience CDL drivers. Fully paid benefits Health, vision, dental, and life insurance for the employee.

Apply at OUT 409 McElroy Drive FT/PT available. Must be able to work some Saturday’s.

You can ride the Grey Route to the Oxford Middle School for a free lunch between the hours of 11:00-1:00. Ask any bus driver if you need help on how to get there or message me here.

Oxford Transit update 1/30/2026

Our phones are not working nor is our internet. You can call 662-816-5209 if you need assistance PLEASE DO NOT CALL ASKING WHEN YOUR BUS WILL ARRIVE. Please be patient and wait at the bus stop it will be running if it’s on this list.

Oxford Transit has been running a few of our routes within the city. We are unable to transport from the county. If you are in dire need and need to get to a warming shelter to spend the night message me and we will try to find you transportation or call the number listed in this message.

1 bus at the conference center
Red North

We will begin at 8:00 am and finish at 3:30 pm

Sunday route for Students will begin at 8:00 am finish at 3:30 pm.

Church is family. Today, our friends from the Orchard Family blessed us in a big way.

Tomorrow, come receive. Be the Church—and tell everyone you know to show up and receive. Everything is free.

Supplies are available tomorrow (1/29) at Orchard Oxford from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. If you have friends or neighbors in need, please pass this along. If you’re unable to get to the church, let us know—we’ll help get items to you.

Buses will run these routes from 8-3:30 the rest of the week through Saturday we l will add as we can.

Buses are running on Old Taylor Road - Green Route, Quarters and Campus Walk going to Union and Wal mart.

Brown Route - picking up lark and Red Point to Walmart and Union.

Bus in Brittany woods to Kroger and Cash savor.

2 buses are at the warming shelter transporting people home or to store or pharmacy.

Oxford transit will be running an evacuation plan from OPD once I see the plan I will share the plan.

Edit. We can’t get buses out from behind the fence. The fence is frozen to the ground. I’m sorry we will continue to try.

I have 5 drivers willing to come in. We are meeting at the office at 10:00. Our office phones aren’t working since we have no electricity. Once vehicles are able to move we will head out to apartments on Taylor, Anderson, links, the Commons. We will make runs to campus, Walmart, conference center. Let me know of other areas that we need to check on.

Edit: we will only be on clear city roads and will follow our current routes. Make your way to a city bus stop we will transport to the union, Kroger if it’s open and the conference center. I will update this post when bus are drivable and begin to run.

I will be meeting with my team in the morning to see if we can do some limited services to the union and Walmart and to warming stations. I will report here tomorrow when we have a plan.

Well I believe this will go down being worse than 1994. Stay safe everyone stay inside and stay off the roads. Buses services will not happen tomorrow and most likely Tuesday or Wednesday but we will just play it by ear and see what kind of cleanup takes place.
