A Look Back at Camp Finbrook — Rogersville, Missouri
Over the past several months, we’ve had the opportunity to be part of a project that is more than just moving old cabins.
We’ve been working at Camp Finbrook Girl Scout Camp, just outside Rogersville, Missouri, helping move the cabins and other buildings that have stood on this property for generations.
Camp Finbrook has been a recognizable part of the Rogersville and Christian County landscape for decades. Historical maps from the area show Camp Finbrook as a named location as far back as the 1970s, and stories from former Girl Scout families give us a glimpse into the memories that were made here. 
For countless girls, leaders, counselors and families, this wasn’t simply a piece of property. It was a place for camping, learning, growing up, making friends and creating memories that lasted long after they packed up and headed home.
Some of those memories go back decades.
Now, we’ve had the privilege of seeing another chapter of Finbrook’s story firsthand.
Cabin by cabin, building by building, we’ve carefully moved these old structures off the property. What may look like an old cabin being loaded onto a trailer is actually a small piece of Ozarks and Girl Scout history being moved into its next chapter.
Looking through pictures, it’s hard not to think about all the people who walked through these doors, slept in these cabins, sat around campfires and spent summers here.
We’re proud to have been a small part of the story of Camp Finbrook.
