For 50 years, has been connecting New Yorkers directly to local farmers that feed this city. No middlemen, just people, produce, and a system that works.

We spent a rainy morning at following the people who make it all happen. The early setups, the hauling, the behind-the-scenes work that keeps New York moving.

Hulken lives in that rhythm. Carrying market hauls, groceries, and the everyday movement of city life.

This Earth Day and everyday we celebrate “shopping local,"" but it doesn’t happen on its own - it’s built, carried, and sustained by real people, every single day. 🌱
