Why the Protea? If you’ve been following along with Amanda Boehm Travel, you may have noticed a little flower woven into my branding - the Protea.

It’s not just because I think it’s beautiful. It’s because it represents so much of why this business exists. The Protea is native to South Africa, a place that has held a very special piece of my heart for years. And Cape Town, in particular, is my favorite place in the world.❤️ There is something about South Africa, the landscapes, the people, the culture, the diversity, that continues to pull me back.

But the Protea itself carries an even deeper meaning. It represents transformation, change, resilience, strength, diversity, and unity. And those words feel incredibly personal to me.

This business was born out of a deep need for change and growth. I wanted to build something different. Something that was mine. Something rooted in the things I genuinely love and am passionate about.

Starting a business from the ground up hasn’t always been easy. There have been plenty of moments of uncertainty, learning curves, long days, and figuring things out as I go. But every challenge has also reminded me of the resilience it takes to build something meaningful.

And then there’s diversity and unity, which are two things I believe are at the heart of travel. Travel has this incredible ability to bring us outside of what we know. To experience different cultures, perspectives, traditions, landscapes, and ways of life. To remind us that our world is beautifully diverse, while also showing us just how connected we all are.

That is what I want Amanda Boehm Travel to represent.

Transformation through travel.
The courage to change.
The resilience to keep growing.
And the belief that there is beauty in both our differences and what brings us together.

So when you see the Protea in my logo, you’ll know it’s more than a flower. It’s a little reminder of where I’ve been, what I’ve overcome, and what I’m building. And perhaps most importantly it represents the journey - mine and yours. 🩵

This website is more than just a place to find me online. It’s a little piece of the business I’ve poured so much time, energy, and heart into building.

It’s where you can get to know me, learn about how I work, explore the kinds of travel I love creating, and see what it looks like to have a trusted advisor helping bring your travel dreams to life.

From honeymoon escapes and milestone trips to family adventures and once-in-a-lifetime journeys-this business has allowed me to help create some pretty incredible memories over the past few years.

A few years ago, I decided to build something of my own. What started as an idea has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of and this week, I’m taking another very exciting step.

On Wednesday, Amanda Boehm Travel is officially getting a home of its own. A place to share my approach to travel, the experiences I love creating for my clients, and, most importantly, what it’s like to have a trusted advisor in your corner from the first idea to the moment you arrive home.

There have been a LOT of late nights, learning curves, spreadsheets, itineraries, hotel research, flights, and “wait... I can actually do this?” moments along the way.
But here we are.

There’s something extra special about planning a trip that brings multiple generations together, and there’s also A LOT that goes into making it happen.

For this family, we’re pairing time in Australia with a few dreamy days in Fiji at Six Senses, staying in a private 4-bedroom beachfront residence with plenty of space for the whole family to relax, reconnect, and enjoy Fiji together.

When Mom told me, “This is new for me having somebody handle all the planning and manage a booking for so many people. You saved me so much time,” it was the best reminder of exactly why I love what I do.

Because planning a trip for your parents, your sister, your kids, and yourself shouldn’t become another full-time job. My role is to take the details, logistics, reservations, and coordination off your plate so you can simply look forward to being together.

The best kind of luxury? Having someone else handle the details. 🤍

One year 🤍

It seems like yesterday I was getting the phone call from the state of Florida letting me know I was approved as a registered advisor and feeling an overwhelming sense of peace. What followed has been a year of growth, learning, and stepping fully into something I care deeply about.

This career started from a simple place - a love for travel and a desire to create more intention in my life. Along the way, I found incredible support, meaningful mentorship, and the opportunity to build something of my own. I’m especially grateful for and the team at for taking a chance on me early on and leading with such integrity, support, and heart.

Over the past year, my business has grown in ways I could have never imagined. And while that growth includes reaching over half a million in sales, what matters most to me is what that number represents — countless moments where clients have trusted me with their time, their memories, and their most meaningful experiences. That trust is not lost on me. It is something I carry with the deepest of gratitude every single day 🤍 The biggest thank you to every single one of my clients. I cannot convey how much I cherish every single one of you and the beautiful lives you’re building!

This work is rooted in passion. A passion for people, for connection, and for experiencing the world in a meaningful and intentional way. Being even a small part of my clients’ most special moments is something I will never take for granted.

One year later, I’m incredibly proud of what’s been built and even more grateful for what’s ahead and the memories I get to play even the smallest role in. Cheers to continued growth, connection, and journeys still to come 🥂
