SeaPort Manatee was excited to visit Harvey Elementary and introduce more than 250 second graders to the world of maritime trade and logistics!

Students learned about the many products that move through the port including bananas, pineapples, aluminum, and aggregates and explored the wide variety of careers that help keep global commerce moving.

Thank you to the students, teachers, and staff for welcoming us into six wonderful classrooms for a fun and engaging day of learning!

We were pleased to welcome representatives from Global Prime Wood during their visit to the port. Their lumber shipments, handled by Logistec, help keep critical supply chains moving through our gateway. 🌎🚢🌲

Last week, Senior Director of Public Safety and Security, David St. Pierre, represented SeaPort Manatee at the Port of the Future Conference in Houston, presenting a case study on the port’s recent security modernization.

The session highlighted how SeaPort Manatee partnered with Siemens to implement an integrated access control and video surveillance system, enhancing situational awareness, supporting U.S. Coast Guard compliance, and improving processing efficiency.

This investment in security is part of our commitment to keeping our port and local community safe and running smoothly.
