🚐 Why Book Wasatch Mountain Express Instead of Rideshare (or a Random Stranger)?
If you've ever posted in a local Facebook group looking for a 3am ride to the airport, you've probably gotten a flood of replies — rideshare apps, random people with a car, and me. Here's why I'm worth the extra cost.
**1. I'll actually show up.**
When you book rideshare — especially for early morning pickups — you're not guaranteed a driver. Even if someone accepts, they can cancel last minute, and then the app scrambles to find you a replacement, sometimes 30-45 minutes away. I don't cancel on you. That's the whole job.
**2. Clean, full-size SUV. Every time.**
Plenty of room for luggage, no surprises. With rideshare, you're rolling the dice on the car, the cleanliness, and whether your bags even fit.
**3. $1.5M commercial insurance policy.**
If something happens on the road, you're covered. That "guy from Facebook" who'll do it for $60 almost certainly isn't insured to drive passengers for money — and if something goes wrong, his personal insurance won't cover it either.
**4. FBI fingerprint background check.**
To be an approved ground transportation driver at SLC airport, I had to pass one. Rideshare companies only run a basic consumer-level check, which misses a lot.
**5. You're supporting a local, independent business.**
Rideshare companies now take more than half the fare, leaving drivers to cover gas, maintenance, and insurance out of what's left. When you book with me, your money stays local.
