From M. Dyer and Sons to M. Dyer Global — 60 years of growth, and we’re just getting started.

“M. Dyer Global has grown so much in the past 60 years,” says Maile. “We started off in 1968 as M Dyer and Sons. Mr. Dyer ended up changing it to M. Dyer Global” — and that name change tells the whole story. What began as a local family moving company has become a name recognized far beyond Hawaii’s shores.

Today, that growth shows up in ways the founders probably couldn’t have imagined. “We’re being invited to international seminars. We’re constantly going every year to the IAM conference.” We’re investing in the future too — “we’re growing so much where we’re starting to do digital inventory,” bringing modern tools to a business built on old-fashioned care.

As Maile puts it: “I can only imagine what it’s going to be like in the next 60 years.”

That’s what stuck with Natassha the first time she got to travel for M. Dyer Global. “My experience traveling with the company, it opened my eyes to how big this industry is,” she says. There's a moment in every M. Dyer move that a lot of companies our size have long since automated away — a real conversation, a crew that treats your grandmother's china like it's their own, a coordinator who actually picks up the phone.

That's not nostalgia. It's how we've operated for over 50 years, and it's not going anywhere. At the same time, "local" has never meant "limited" for us. As an employee-owned company built in Hawaii, we move households and businesses not just across the island, but across oceans — coordinating logistics, customs, and freight to destinations around the world, with the same crew mentality whether your move is five miles or five thousand.
