Our first night on Virgin Voyages and the chef did not have my many allergies and intolerances ahead of time. The head chef came out an apologized to me because my food didn’t “look” as fancy as everyone else’s. My dinner was AMAZING.

Hi friends! 👋 It’s been a little while since I’ve posted here on A Girl’s Gotta Eat Dairy-Free and Gluten-Free Travel. Life (and lots of travel!) has kept me busy, but I’m so excited to be back. ✈️ 🌍

We went on a fun little East Coast trip in June for 11 days and I found some FANTASTIC allergies friendly places to eat. I was super impressed with the amount of places that had an actual Gluten Free and/or Vegan Menu! While I am a not a vegan, just dairy free, it is so wonderful to have a lot of options! Our first allergy friendly stop was outside of Saratoga Springs, NY. This little brunch spot had an amazing GF/DF menu and they even had cookies and brownies I could eat! One of my FAVORITE stops in our trip that week was Gr**go Jack’s in Manchester, VT. They had the BEST salsa I have ever had… and I do love my Mexican Restaurants. They made my guacamole fresh when I ordered it so there wouldn’t be any cross contamination.

We booked a specialty restaurant one night on our cruise and it was AMAZING at Bonsai Teppanyaki. This was the first time I have ever done habachi that they made MY food in front of ME. They made my food first then finished everyone else’s.

There were several lunch places open on our cruise. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to we at a few of them because they didn’t have any allergy friendly options. I was however able to eat as some!

Breakfast/Brunch on our cruise. I don’t eat much different on vacation than I do at home. Bacon and eggs are a staple in my life. There are several options for me to choose from for breakfast and brunch. I ate in the main dining room for breakfast everyday but our “Thing 1 and Thing 2 Birthday Party”.

Our first day at sea I went to the brunch in the main dining room. I love that I can order my meals the night before! I wasn’t able to eat at the Pig and Anchor Bar because they soak their meat in dairy and apple juice so I got a “taco” from the Blue Iguana. They didn’t have corn tortillas, so I ate my meal as a salad. Dinner in the dining room as AMAZING. My chicken was so juicy and the chef made me a chocolate mousse!
