Port Commercial Development & Seaport Security Manager Shep Coggin was in Mobile today for the annual Hurricane Industry Day, connecting with Coast Guard, USACE, NOAA/NWS, and port industry partners to review response protocols and waterway communication plans.

The ODIN, a Borr Drilling premium jack-up rig, is docked at the Port of Pensacola before heading out to the Gulf of America.

The Port of Pensacola was proud to welcome representatives from the Florida Commerce Office of Long-Term Resiliency — Garnet Nevels, Amanda Iscrupe, and Jody McCormick — for a tour today of the transformative construction progress underway at the facility through the Community Development Block Grant-funded Road and Rail Rehabilitation Project.

These critical investments are helping the Port address long-needed infrastructure improvements, including extensive paving and waterline repairs, the replacement of rail lines to maximize operational efficiency, and enhancements to the Port's cathodic protection system to better safeguard infrastructure against future storm damage.

We are grateful to Florida Commerce for its continued support of the Port of Pensacola and its commitment to strengthening Florida's transportation and economic infrastructure. We look forward to building on this partnership and pursuing future opportunities that advance the Port's resilience, efficiency, and long-term growth.

If you are downtown this weekend, you will notice the arrival of two TALL Ships visiting our Port of Pensacola in advance of their trip to New Orleans to kick off Sail250!

The USCG Cutter EAGLE arrives on Saturday, May 23, at Plaza De Luna around 9 a.m. and will be open for tours throughout the weekend before sailing out on May 25.

General Public Tours for the USCG Cutter Eagle will be from 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 23.

Also, on May 24, military, veterans, and first responders can tour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. while general public tour hours will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m that day.

In addition, an offshore drilling jack-up rig, the ODIN, is expected to arrive on May 25 for up to 30 days of scheduled work.

Be sure to stop by and catch these impressive vessels while they’re in port!
