Today, in honor of World Beard Day, we're recognizing our own beard legend, Neal Glassett. As our LifeLine Pilots' Board Treasurer, a volunteer pilot, and the champion of our annual Beard-Off fundraiser, Neal helps raise both funds and awareness for our mission.

Thanks to supporters like Neal, more patients can access the medical care they need through free flights. Give Neal a shoutout for World Beard Day and stay tuned for this next year's Beard-Off! πŸ‘

🀝 Community partnerships have a vital role in expanding awareness of LifeLine Pilots' mission to connect patients with free flights for their medical care far from home.

✨ Community Partner Spotlight: Charitable Healthcare Network (CHCN)
Our Ohio Outreach Coordinator, Phil, has been working with CHCN, a statewide network of free health clinics serving communities across Ohio. We share a common goal: helping people access the care they need through their free healthcare clinics or our free flights.

LifeLine Pilots provides free flights, through volunteer pilots, for scheduled medical appointments throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin and beyond.

If your organization, healthcare facility, workplace, or community group in our 10-state Midwest region wants to help patients access scheduled medical care far from home, we'd love to connect.

✈️ It takes a team to make a 1,800-mile round-trip mission possible.

Thank you to LifeLine Pilots volunteer pilots Joshua, Brandon, David, and Kerry, along with our partners at Angel Flight South Central, for helping Brittany travel from Arkansas to the Cleveland Clinic and safely back home. β˜€οΈ

Because of dedicated volunteers like these, distance doesn’t have to be a barrier to healthcare, and patients can focus on what matters most: getting the care they need. πŸ’™

Today, we're celebrating Josh. πŸ™Œ He's been a LifeLine Pilots volunteer since 2024 and has already flown over 25 missions! Based in Ohio, Josh comes in clutch for many flights to Cleveland Clinic and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Josh is often sharing the LifeLine Pilots mission with others, doing outreach to other pilots and passengers. Thank you, Josh, and congratulations! πŸ’™

Medical journeys can be stressful, exhausting, and filled with uncertainty. Fortunately, many patients discover something invaluable along the way: a community at LifeLine Pilots ready to help carry the load.

✈️ Our passenger, Geoffrey of Iowa, recently flew with pilot Nick to the Mayo Clinic for treatment related to Crohn's disease. After his appointment, pilot Killian (pictured here with Geoffrey) was there to fly him home.

πŸ’™ Behind every flight is a network of compassionate volunteer pilots dedicated to making healthcare more accessible and reminding patients that they don't have to face the distance alone.

✈️ Earlier this month, LifeLine Pilots team members Andrea and Andrew attended the 2026 Ohio Rural Health Conference to share information about our free flights for non-emergency medical appointments throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Healthcare providers, rural health advocates, and community organizations from across Ohio were eager to learn more about this resource, which helps ensure distance is never a barrier to specialized medical care.

🀝 Thank you to the Ohio Rural Health Association for hosting an event that brings together organizations working to improve healthcare access and outcomes in rural communities.
